How to photograph an exterior-cleaning job
Four simple views can make surface, size and access easier to understand.
Photograph 01
Begin with one wide view of the whole surface.
Stand far enough back to include every edge, adjoining surface, step and access point. The wide view helps us understand shape and context.
Photograph 02
Add close details of stains, joints and damage.
Move closer for the condition you want us to review, but keep the wide photograph too. A close-up alone cannot show the scale of the work.
Photograph 03
Show water and the path from parking to the surface.
Include the exterior spigot, gate opening, steps and any narrow turn so we can think through the setup before arrival.
Add scale
Approximate dimensions are more useful than a guess at square footage.
Length and width, or one familiar object for scale, help us ask the next question. Final scope still depends on the surface and condition.
